(Sorry a little blurry!)
Growing up I constantly declared I would not be having kids and had little to no desire to be a mother...even as I type that statement it just blows my mind that I were ever to have those feelings. As Saturday came upon us, I was going back and forth if it would be crazy to make her a cupcake and let her practice her 1st birthday smash cake. We settled on letting her taste frosting off of a cupcake at a family baby shower :) Every milestone is a little better than the last and I do believe that the older they get you always think the present stage is more fun than the previous. Raising a child is quite the adventure.
As I mentioned previously, last weekend we went to Valentine to cheer on the Eagles (they did win by the way but I'll wait to brag them up after this week :) So it was just me and Paisley on our little road trip and she was just the best backseat co-pilot! I had imagined that we would be driving back to Chadron, in the dark, where she would be demanding attention while needing a diaper change and I would have to pull over in the middle of no where, and this is exactly where everything you don't want to see lurks. I'm sure this would of been the point where I would think and when was that part about changing my mind about kids? Haha. BUT NO!! She was just the sweetest.
She had another first at Valentine ...sitting in a highchair at a restaurant--such a big girl! Ok, lame first time mom excitement....w/ a picture, it's getting ridiculous.
I hope you all had a great weekend--we are getting geared up again for a busy week in the wrestling world--Wednesday, Brett will be in Pueblo, CO then there is a dual Thursday, in Chadron and back on the road again for UNK duals. As always, GO EAGLES!!
As the Spring semester begins, we are happy to have Em back in town and my cousin Ryan as well!! Back-up babysitter-whoop! :)
I hope everyone has a fabulous week!! Also, thank you for the sweet comments about the blog...I'm flattered people take time our of their day to read it!
They are too :)
