Happy Halloween Eve!

Hey everyone!

I would LOVE to say that I am sitting here typing while watching scary movies munching on sweets with Paisley on my left and Brett on my right. Unfortunately, I am sitting in my hotel room ALONE with no Paisley or Brett, and choking on a kit-kat while I foolishly watch scary movies and get the shit scared out of me as Jason pops out of the lake...why oh why do I do this to myself...

A quick catch up on life! I accepted a new position with the state finally doing something I went to school for. Nothing like earning money to pay back a degree that set you so far back in debt--winning! After I so graciously explained in the interview that it would be no problem to spend four weeks, 5 hours away for training (Obama care...seriously?) I am now pacing and kicking myself for being so damn convincing...this will be way harder than I thought. But in all honesty it's been pretty much a piece of cake since super dad is running the show like he's been doing this all his life! Making the transition from tough wrestling coach during practice to the sweet loving dad he is when him and Paisley facetime me in the evenings is awesome.

So as I sit and fight back bawling like a control freak mother who stresses about missing out on her baby rolling a different way or sitting up a little straighter, she's pretty much like, mom who? Haha :)
As I mentioned before Halloween is one of my top fav holidays if not my ultimate favorite, and I was heartbroken when I realized I would more than likely be gone for Paisley's first Halloween. Thankfully, Chadron held it's annual "Moonlight Madness" last Wednesday so we were able to dress up little miss in her costume!

Such a fun night--we also went with Thye, Leigha, Avarie & Emily. Avarie was the cutest little monster ever!
Last Saturday officially kicked off wrestling season with the annual public practice. Brett had a great turn out and the boys worked really hard--very impressive.
This weekend is the Black and Cardinal Classic--can't wait!!

I'll leave you guys with a couple more pictures of who else...but miss Paisley Lynn :) The day I left for training she helped her daddy rake leaves and fill her pumpkin bag!
Have a great rest of your week and have a great weekend!!

Where does it go??

TIME! Seriously! I now really know the feeling when someone explains why or how they just don't have enough time, and I point the finger to .......

: )
I thought we were busy before miss Paisley...Ha. But I know we wouldn't change it for the world. Yesterday, Brett asked if I could imagine life now without Paisley or what we did before she blessed us. I instantly replied that we would be bored...but then I drifted into thought about how comfy that couch is and the many Real Housewives episodes that are just dying to be viewed on the DVR.... (haha Juuusssttt Kidding!) But really, time did get away from me when wanting to write the next post and I couldn't believe it was October 7 when I uploaded one last...It's funny how you instantly just want time to slow down when you have a baby and how meaningful life can be once they enter your lives.

Anyways enough of that talk! Paisley turned 5 months on the 11th...GOSH! She has mastered rolling over and she can sit up by herself when we prop her up. Such a big girl! The countdown is on when she regularly can experience solid foods and maybe a bite or two of Ben & Jerry's ice cream...not the whole carton.

A couple weeks ago we stayed Friday night in Rushville and had a sleepover with Paisley's cousin Avarie.

We then traveled back to Sargent for a surprise visit! It was such a good weekend!!

This weekend was a relaxing one spent at home, Brett had practice and weight lifting which reminded us that wrestling season is soon upon us. We are so excited for the season! I hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Winter Storm "Atlas"

Hi all!

I mentioned in my last post how I was HOPING Nebraska wouldn't fail me and we would actually have a fall instead of jumping right into winter.....?!

Oh, mother nature you have quite the sense of humor.

We experienced quite the winter storm, "Atlas" on Friday with heavy snow that caused quite a bit of damage to trees, power lines, buildings and vehicles around the Chadron area. Thankfully, we only experienced tree damage and managed to keep our power, other residents weren't as lucky :(
It was quite the sight seeing and hearing tree branches snap left and right, but I got to spend all day with this little lady and sip on pumpkin spice coffee, so in the end it was the perfect day :)

About a month ago we introduced Paisley to her Jumperoo, she wasn't really interested in it till this weekend. This is her trying to grab the parrot she so desperately wants to put in her mouth.
SO CLOSE!
The rest of the weekend was spent inside where it was warm and watching football. Then ending it with multiple trips to the tree dump. Brett recruited me to help him unload limbs but thought it was too muddy and I needed to stay in the truck, what a guy I have :)
Today its in the 60s so I can't complain! I believe once all the snow is melted we will get to have a little Fall season.
I hope everyone's week has kicked off to a good start!! Till next time!

October Is Finally Here!!

Yay for October!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we actually get to have a Fall season and not just jump into Winter, but then I have to remind myself we do live in Nebraska. Go Huskers by the way! Excited that we have a game this weekend!!

Last weekend we got to spend time at the Little Ladybug Pumpkin Patch located in Hay Springs. Paisley was a little to young for most of the activities, but we all had a good time watching her cousins Avarie, Bree & Kee take in the festive fun!

(And her dad too :) )

Paisley was also excited because she received mail on Friday from her great aunt Marilyn! She loves her new book.

This weekend we are going to enjoy homecoming weekend for the Eagles and par take in a little Bloody Mary drinking and husker football. Hope you all have a great weekend as well!!
